If I pass the GED or HiSET exam, does this mean I am ready for college classes?

If you’re thinking about taking college classes, check out the GED and HiSET college-ready score requirements here.
If your scores don’t meet the college-ready level, you may need to take pre-college (developmental) courses in reading, writing, or math before starting college-level classes. These classes help you build the skills you need to succeed, but they don’t count toward a degree, and you’ll need to pay tuition for them.
To save both time and money, try to reach college-ready scores on your GED or HiSET exams. Meeting these scores means you can start earning college credit right away without taking extra classes.
